Are Results Immediate?
Many patients wlk out of our aesthetician's room glowing, and some patients may experience a slight skin purge that is normal post medical-facial treatment.
A dedicated skincare regimen will be shared with you to help improve your overall results.
How Often Can I Get Facials?
We recommend those who are looking to keep skin healthy and flowing, to treat with facials every 4-6 weeks. We are often able to combine other more invasive treatments wihtin a facial schedule.
Speak to your provider abotu your skin goals and a customized plan will be made.
Pre-Treatment Guidelines
- Schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event. Redness, swelling and bruising may be apparent in that time period.
- Avoid alcohol, caffeine, Niacin supplement, high-sodium foods, high sugar foods, refined carbohydrates, spicy foods and cigarettes 24-48 hours before and after your treatment.
- Let the provider know if you have a history of cold sores. An antiviral may be prescribed.
- You may not have an active rash in the area being treated.
Post-Treatment Guidelines
- Redness or sensitivity might be present (most commonly lasts up to a few hours).
- It is recommended that you wait at least 2 weeks before having any other facial treatments (i.e. facials, massages, lasers, ultrasounds, micro-dermabrasion).
- Facial treatments are immediately effective. Chemical peels take several days to 2 weeks to fully expose new skin.
- If you receive a chemical peel, DO NOT peel skin. Allow dead skin to fall off naturally to avoid tearing fresh skin and scaring.
